When the seeding option appears
On the Feature Board page, the Fill your board in a minute card appears when your board has no features. Once the board has features, the card goes away; you can still add requests manually with New Feature Request.
Draft starter requests
Enter a public product URL in Your product URL, then click Draft starter requests. featurevote reads your site and drafts 3–8 requests, usually around 6, with a title and description based on what your product does.
Review before publishing
Drafts are not added automatically. Review them in the editable list: each draft is included by default, and you can uncheck drafts, edit titles and descriptions, or choose Start over to clear the drafts and try another URL. When ready, click Publish; the selected requests are added to your board with the status Requested. This seeding process does not send emails.
If your site cannot be read
If featurevote cannot fully read your site—for example, if it is unreachable, blocks automated readers, or is not a standard web page—it falls back to generic starter requests and displays a notice. Edit those drafts to fit your product before publishing. The URL must be a public http or https address; localhost and private or internal addresses are rejected. Publishing is subject to your plan's feature limit. If the limit is reached partway through, requests already created are kept and featurevote tells you how many were added.
