Get Slack notifications for feature requests

Choose which Slack notifications to receive

Connect Slack to receive notifications in a channel you choose when people submit feature requests, send private feedback to the Feedback Inbox, comment, or when a feature ships. You can also enable vote-milestone notifications at 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 votes. Choose which event types are sent; changes take effect immediately. Milestones count people, not weighted vote points.

Connect Slack and select a channel

In featurevote, go to Settings → Integrations, click Add to Slack, and authorize featurevote in your Slack workspace. In Slack, open the channel for notifications and run /invite @Featurevote; the bot must be invited before it can post. Return to Settings → Integrations and choose the channel from the Channel dropdown. The selection saves automatically.

Test and troubleshoot the integration

Use Send Test Message in the Slack integration settings to check that notifications are working. If no messages arrive, make sure the bot is invited to the selected channel. If you want to use a different channel, invite the bot there and select that channel again. If Slack authorization fails, check that you have Slack admin permissions. If problems continue, disconnect and reconnect the integration.

Slack integration privacy

featurevote posts messages to Slack but does not read Slack messages. You can disconnect the integration at any time.
